Features of interior air heating



The desire for comfort is a natural human desire. Drivers in this case are no exception. Indeed, in winter you cannot go far in a cold car, and some car models do not warm up to a sufficient temperature in the cold season with the help of only a regular heater. In this case, an additional stove in the car interior will come to the rescue.

The first representatives of this category are ordinary "hair dryers" or air heaters, Heated air is supplied to the passenger compartment by fans. There is a heating element inside. In modern models, ceramics are used as a heating element, and not a spiral. This allows you not to "burn" the air in the cabin. Works just like a regular hair dryer. As a rule, such fans are connected through a 12 volt cigarette lighter. There are models for 24 volts. Due to their low power, they are unable to quickly warm up the entire interior, but they are quite capable of warming the windshield or the driver's seat area. The power of such devices cannot exceed 200 watts, otherwise the fuses will not withstand. These are small mobile devices that are easy to install and remove when necessary.

Air auxiliary heater

Other air heaters use fuel (diesel or gasoline). Fuel is supplied by the fuel pump. They have a cylindrical shape. Inside is a combustion chamber. The mixture is ignited by a candle. The air from the passenger compartment passes around the flame tube and combustion chamber, is heated and fed back by the fan. The exhaust gases are vented to the outside.

The additional interior heater is mainly used for buses and heavy vehicles. On a long parking there is no need to turn on the engine to warm up and waste fuel. The air heater is very economical. It uses 40 times less fuel than an engine would need. Different models are equipped with a timer, temperature control system and other modes. The built-in electric module turns off the device in case of overheating.
